Excellent price, convenient kitchenette setup, easy access to Duke University campus
Thermostat malfunctioning multiple times a day during the stay!!! Noise pollution from nearby train line, bars, and rowdy vehicles severely impacted comfort levels!!! Cleaning schedule inconsistently minimal, neglecting thoroughness of room upkeep!!!

The location is fantastic, being just a short shuttle ride away from Duke University. The shuttle service runs frequently, making it super convenient for business meetings. I appreciated the clean, spacious room that felt like a small apartment. The kitchenette with a big fridge and stovetop was a nice touch for preparing quick meals. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. there were options like self-cook waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausage. The breakfast area was well-kept and the staff did a good job of keeping things stocked. However, the room had some uncomfortable issues. The mattress was quite soft, making me feel like I could slide off it any moment. The thermostat was temperamental, malfunctioning every few hours, which was a bit frustrating. I also wished for more frequent and thorough cleaning of the room. The noise from the nearby train line was a major disturbance at night, with trains blasting their horns until well past midnight. Laundry and parking fees also added to the cost, making me feel a bit squeezed on budget. Overall, it was a decent stay with some enjoyable aspects, but improvements are definitely needed in terms of room comfort and noise insulation.
